Marco Flores, Managing Partner | Stormlex Law Group
Marco D. Flores grew up in South Texas, shaped by family values that instilled in him a deep commitment to helping others whenever the opportunity arises. He began his legal career in 2000, joining a firm in Dallas, Texas, where he represented major corporations — including Exxon Mobil, in high-stakes complex litigation across the country, eventually chairing the litigation sections for two large corporate clients. In 2014, he and his family returned to South Texas, and he redirected his practice toward leveling the playing field between property owners and large insurance companies. Today, Marco focuses on representing homeowners, small businesses, and commercial property owners who are not receiving fair treatment from their insurers, helping them navigate the claims process to recover the benefits they are owed. He and his team have consulted on over 10,000 insurance claim disputes involving homes, school districts, condominium complexes, apartments, hotels, shopping centers, and industrial complexes. With more than 20 years of experience representing individuals, small businesses, and Fortune 500 companies, Marco brings a uniquely balanced perspective, having advocated for both plaintiffs and defendants, to every case he handles, from initial evaluation through jury trial.
Marco earned his Bachelor of Arts from The University of Texas at Austin and his Juris Doctor from St. Mary’s University School of Law. He is also a certified mediator, holding a Mediation Certificate. In addition to Texas, Marco is licensed to practice law in Oklahoma and is admitted to practice in Texas Federal Courts, including the Northern, Western, and Southern Districts. Marco has over 20 years of legal experience spanning complex commercial litigation, insurance disputes, and property damage claims. He launched his career in 2000 representing Fortune 500 companies such as Exxon Mobil in high-stakes litigation nationwide, ultimately chairing litigation sections for two major corporate clients. After relocating back to South Texas in 2014, he transitioned his practice to focus on insurance claim disputes on behalf of property owners — both residential and commercial. He has gained experience across all phases of litigation, from case evaluation to jury trial, and his background on both the plaintiff and defense sides equips him to craft targeted strategies aimed at achieving the best possible outcome for his clients. His team has consulted on over 10,000 insurance claim disputes spanning a wide range of property types, and his mission remains aggressive advocacy combined with efficient resolution, whether through negotiation, litigation, or trial.
