This CLE provides a comprehensive, practical analysis of estate planning and tax law, guiding attorneys through a systematic framework for advising clients across varying wealth profiles and planning objectives. Using the estate planning pyramid as a roadmap, the program examines foundational planning tools such as revocable living trusts and powers of attorney, intermediate and advanced wealth transfer strategies, and sophisticated tax-minimization techniques involving trusts, valuation discounts, and charitable planning. Attendees will gain insight into how to coordinate income, gift, estate, and generation-skipping transfer tax strategies to protect assets, preserve family wealth, and “disinherit” the IRS through thoughtful, legally sound planning.
